About us
Christian Junge runs Junge A/S today, which was created by his father Bent Junge in 1946. Christian Junge has been part of the company since 1986 and has now worked passionately with design, production and purchasing for more than 30 years – today in collaboration with chief designer Mette Guldager.
Wool from Italy, fabrics from Korea, zips from Japan. Exquisite materials are carefully selected for each collection. With global inspiration from travels in the East, the Nordic region and all of Europe's fashion capitals, popular classics are designed and tailored into a new modern look that, true to the company's roots, matches the simple Nordic lifestyle.
Christian Junge carries on a proud tradition from his father. The ability to spot a design has been passed down through decades in the company's DNA. Creativity with a focus on detail, and styles that bring out the best in every woman – are distinctive features of a Junge jacket.
Bent Junge founded the garment factory and was at the time a passionate enthusiast, entrepreneur and, not least, pioneer. As one of the first in Denmark, he travelled to China in 1967 – by propeller plane, with a stopover in Tashkent, Central Asia! With a flair for business and a pronounced sense of developments in the garment industry, he paved the way for strong partnerships that still exist today. Equipped with a flair for design and women's fashion, Christian Junge followed in his father's footsteps. In 1986, he embarked on a formative journey in fashion creation, first as a shop assistant at Andersens Damefrakker in Guldsmedegade in Aarhus, then as a trainee in a sewing workshop and as a designer, after which he moved to Hong Kong in 1987. Junge A/S today has three key employees in the Far East, eight employees in Denmark and is represented in 24 countries.
The brand has evolved to target quality-conscious women seeking an exclusive & comfortable design with a focus on detail.
