We are very aware that, as part of the fashion and textile industry, we have an impact on our planet's climate and environment.
Knowing that we will never become 100 % sustainable, we try to work as responsibly as possible and take the possible steps in the right direction.
We care about MATERIALS
We focus on selecting
fabrics, zips, buttons, linings, down etc. of good quality. This means that Junge outerwear is durable
and ages gracefully.
We use, wherever possible,
materials that are recycled.
We have several styles in the collection
that are made from 100 % recycled materials.
They are labelled 'Recycled by Junge'
We care about ANIMALS
Junge produces exclusive outerwear
with down of the highest quality. They are certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS).
This certification means, among
other things, that live plucking and force-feeding are prohibited.
To ensure that suppliers can
meet this standard, the entire value chain from farm to finished product is regularly checked, and the down is therefore 100% traceable.
We care about THE ENVIRONMENT
At Junge, we set requirements for which
chemicals our suppliers use in production.
That is why we work continuously with
them to environmentally certify our products.
Some suppliers are, for example, Oeko-Tex certified.
Traceability
Junge works continuously with our
suppliers to be as responsible and transparent as possible.
That is why we are working to have the materials we use and the outerwear we launch certified.
Several of our materials and styles are certified with one of the following certificates:
Ensures that all components in this item, i.e. fabric, thread, button,
zipper and other accessories, have been tested for harmful substances,
- and that the item is therefore harmless to human health.
GRS certification ensures that at least 50% of the material in the clothing comes from
recycled materials.
In addition, the GRS label guarantees that the production of the recycled
material has taken place under good working conditions
(including no forced labour, no child labour, the right to
form trade unions, no discrimination, and a focus on safety and
health).
The RDS certification ensures that the down in the products comes from animals that have not been subjected to harm.
In addition, the RDS label guarantees that down production has complied with strict animal welfare standards
(including no live plucking, no force-feeding, regular welfare checks, traceability in the supply chain and a focus on the ethical treatment of animals).
